CS Sport 4 Fun Timisoara

Evaluation

At the end of the camp, the students will be assessed by the instructors in order to be awarded with a certificate of graduating the Sport4Fun Timisoara ski school. For this purpose, we will use an evaluation guide which enlists all the necessary steps to learn or perfect the ski technique. The instructive-educational process within our school has a threefold difficulty structure – Blue (beginner level), Red (intermediary level), and Black (advanced level) . All the elements pertaining to each of the levels are supported by exercises meant to develop and improve the physical condition of the students and to develop the ski and balance technique.


A. In order to hand in the certificate at the beginner level Blue the requirements are as follows:

The student should be able :

  • to put on the skis by himself and to take them off on flat ground.
  • to tread the snow wearing the skis on flat ground.
  • to easily slide downhill with parallel skis without falling.
  • to climb in steps a slightly inclined slope.
  • to slow down and stop using turning uphill.
  • to lift him/herself up when falling on flat ground.
  • to climb up by him/herself with the baby-lift, the magic-carpet, etc. (ski-lift for children)
  • to turn left and right on a slight inclination slope.
  • to follow the trails of the instructor.
  • to control speed with turning left and right on a slightly inclined slope.



B) In order to hand in the certificate at the intermediary level Red the requirements are as follows:

The student should be able :

  • to bind and carry his own skis.
  • to finish the turns with his/her skis in parallel position.
  • to put on his/her skis after falling on the slope.
  • to slide in downhill position with medium speed.
  • to slide with parallel skis, on the edges when crossing the slope.
  • to slide on one ski (with a lifted ski) when crossing the slope.
  • to stop with his/her skis in parallel position.
  • to snow plough laterally with parallel skis.
  • to ski on a bumpy slope (moguls).
  • to ski while pushing against the tongue of the boots.
  • to slide with parallel skis all the time.
  • to stop very quickly with skis in parallel position.
  • to begin making carve turns.



C) In order to hand in the certificate at the advanced level Black the requirements are as follows:

The student should be able :

  • to ski in carve style.
  • to ski on a bumpy slope (moguls).
  • to make short turns.
  • to stop very quickly even if he/she is skiing at high speed.
  • to jump above small bumps and to land without losing balance.
  • to ski making large turns safely, at great speed and to have high control over it.
  • to put on the skis in high snow (powder snow).
  • to ski through chutes.
  • to maintain good balance on all types of snow.
  • to start skiing on fresh, powder snow.
